"Towne West is a HIDDEN GEM! I have passed the complex several times and decided to stop in today. I am GLAD I did!!! The staff was nice and very helpful. I was impressed with the size of the units and some of the upgrades. Overall, great property and friendly staff. They "welcomed me home" on today, LITERALLY!"

"If it was possible to give zero star I will give it!! I relocated from NY, where private landlords were the norm, opting for Towne West as my first experience with an apartment complex turned out to be the gravest mistake in my decade-long stay in the US. Despite the space, the management nightmare began when my roommate left in May 2023. We informed the office, only to realize it was the inception of a series of headaches. Pay stubs were resubmitted, forms were filled out, and they assured us the process was complete. However, since May 2023, my account has been in a nightmare. The online portal routinely rejects payments, declares my unit unoccupied, miscalculates my rents either telling me my monthly rent is $60 or inflating it.Monthly visits to the office to complain only result in assurances that they are working on it, with promises to fix the problems the following month. On one occasion, the assistant manager even coerced me into paying $1600 when my rent was $1043, promising a refund the next month. Unknowingly both manager & assistant manager who promised to fix this planned to quit together at the month end leaving me in a lurch & I had to start over with a new manager who was there for only 2weeks again! The period between 2022-2023 saw an unsettling turnover of around 4 managers, creating an atmosphere of chaos. November 2023 we found out the move out form we signed in May required notarization, information that was communicated earlier( this form was signed at their office & they never told us we needed to notarized it) While this corrected the roommate issue, they informed me that unfortunately they will have to charge me month to month even though the mistake was from their end. In November 2023, they wanted me to sign a new lease, and I agreed under the condition that they rectify the back-inflated rent issue and allow me to pay my regular rent without the month-to-month charges. Instead, they served an eviction notice, demanding payment for the specified amount. Refusing to sign the new lease, I paid the full eviction notice amount and vacated. Two days later after payment, they claimed I owed them double of what I paid( my account was showing 0 two days ago) This entire experience has been regrettable, and I'm not alone. As of December 2023, around 24 people in the complex faced similar issues, they wrote down my name on the list & promised to fix it but nothing was done until I moved out. My advice: steer clear of Towne West for your sanity. The management is incompetent, and the space is not worth the problems you will get . Despite numerous calls, the assistant manager said she can see theirs an issue with my account and she will need to calculate & validate the proper amount I am to pay them if I owe them and it’s been two weeks now nothing from their end. I want them to communicate this so I never so we can be finally done with each other! It’s been a nightmare renting with them!"

"If I give 0 starts I would! Management is absolutely horrible from corporate down to the leasing office. DO NOT MOVE HERE. TAM residential properties are the worst and this is the worst apartment complex to move into. Management is absolutely ignorant and rude! They charge hidden fee and never get anything done! I wouldn’t be surprised if they are overcharging on purpose to keep the extra money! RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE FAST! DO NOT MOVE HERE!"

"If I can give this place zero stars I would. They don't even deserve 1 star. This place is literally a dump, ghetto and not worth what they charge for rent. The only good thing about it is the space but that's not even worth it. I lived in this complex since 2020 and when I first moved here the management, office staff and maintenance was better than what it's been over the past year or so. But it just went downhill and turned into a terrible place to live. The first red flag is that I noticed roaches within the first few days of me moving in. There was never much they were willing to do about it either. This sucked because I'm a clean freak and I knew the roaches were not from me. So it's disheartening when you're clean and you work hard to live nice and you see roaches everywhere. They would say they would put me on the "list" for the exterminator to come by and there were several times NOBODY showed up or the lady would say she forgot to add me on the list. Next red flag is they started to hike up the rent and it would be hidden fees that seemed to be added to your bill. I would understand if upgrades were made to the inside of the units but my unit was never upgraded. The amount of money I paid when I first moved in versus by the time I decided to get out of there was a HUGE increase and for what? Next red flag was my AC unit was always mysteriously not working. This is when I realized there was suspicious maintenance activity going on at this complex and I had to get people involved because a copy of my key was made and kept for personal use and I didn't feel safe. Im not even going to go into detail about that because they know what took place. But I will say that as a young woman that did not feel safe, one of the ladies in the office was trying to defend the man and make excuses for him instead of having her resident's back and that let me know what type of character she has and that she did not care about my safety. Lastly they NEVER EVER EVER answer the phone. You could be calling for something super important or an emergency and they won't answer your call but when you pull up to the office they're sitting right next to the phone at their desks which is insane to me. Like why are you not doing your job? I moved out before my lease even ended because I was so unhappy and miserable living at this place. I knew I deserved better and wanted better for my living situation and I did not feel safe. The front office never answered the phone and the maintenance team was untrustworthy and I did not agree with the rapid increase of rent for such a poorly maintained and managed complex. DO NOT MOVE HERE. You will regret it like I did. All of the negative comments about this place are not lies. They are all true. Please do not be fooled. I hope this review helps and saves someone."
