"The Machine Shed's wonderful food and service keep me coming back when I travel to Iowa. The complimentary applesauce bread is amazing, and the family style sides are very good. The coleslaw is crisp and flavorful, the cottage cheese is creamy, and the cinnamon apples are served warm and delicious. There is a large selection of pork entrees, but they also have steak, chicken, and seafood. Try the homemade deserts if you manage to save room, or grab one to go. I love the carrot cake. One 5 layer piece completely fills a large carryout box!"
"A friend recommended I got the meatloaf, but I couldn't pass on the Iowa chop. Lucky for me I got the single because there's also a stuffed double Iowa chop option. My chop was so juicy and tasty! I went with the garlic mashed potatoes and pork gravy as a side. My coworker got the meatloaf and he said it was great also. The staff was super nice. Unfortunately no Coke products but their Arnold Palmer was really good."
"My first time there and we WILL go back! We chose the lunch special plus the potato skin appetizer. I make messy salads so took a pic of hubby's salad to show the actual food really does look appetizing lol. The lunch special included the salad bar plus pork tips with fries and streamed veggies. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, tasted great! Our server was fun, the atmosphere spacious and clean.... you can even shop for gifts in the gift store. Yup.... we'll be back!"
