"Really truly terrible experience here. I think if any of the owners of this place are Mexican, They need to be ashamed to be calling this Mexican food. Let me start with the salsa, It was like 50% water, 50% can tomatoes, with dry cayenne pepper mixed in for spice. Totally disgusting. Same with the green salsa. The steak had absolutely no flavor, I could make better Mexican food at home. What a waste of money and I embarrassed my Mexican wife by bringing her here. Honestly, I don't know where these good reviews are coming from. Must be just small town white Americans who have never left to eat Mexican food in the city or in Mexico. The only thing we liked was the decor. But this place sits in the corner of a musty smelling, dusty old building that sells vintage goods. There was almost no one there."
"Hector’s was the vendor for the rehearsal dinner for our son’s wedding at Kilbuck Creek. I had to arrange everything from long distance. They were perfect. The food was fabulous! The price was very reasonable for the amount of food and variety we had. I would highly recommend-Thanks for your professionalism!"

"I had an Enchilada and it was possibly the most authentic Enchilada i ever had. A very simple place but with great quality and affordable food, Hector’s Cocina is located inside a historic mall. A complimentary watermelon drink drove home the wow factor, considering its about 80% humidity at about 85 degrees. Definitely would recommend, and would be delighted to bring my friends here."
