"I was referred to McCash after the lovely Dr. Mims retired. Dr. McCash is great! I received great support from the routine visits up to surgery. The office let's you know there may be long wait times and they created a document to help clients and families understand the importance of canceling/rescheduling an appointment if you're unable to make it. If you want quality care, be patient. He's gunna give you quality care!"

"Had a scheduled appointment at 2pm ended up leaving due to not getting seen cause it was going to be about another hour or so! So unprofessional. Why schedule patients if we have to wait for hours to be seen! Other parents and patients had been waiting about the same time or longer! Do Not recommend unless you want to wait hours!"

"I've heard such wonderful things about this Dr and after the amazing Dr. Bishop (Corpus Christi) retired, I decided to transfer my daughter's care. From the inception, getting an appointment was difficult. Not only did they never return my call but when I finally spoke to someone, I was made to feel like a burden. Finally, appointment was scheduled and after several months of waiting we were seen. The staff was stand-offish and really made the environment feel quite tense. At our appointment ( which lasted about a total of 20 minutes and I felt rushed), the dr recommended surgery but really didnt address any of my concerns nor were any records requested from the previous dr to see what surgery had already been done. I was told two options: nothing or schedule and given the information of the scheduling coordinator, Becky. After numerous attempts, I was able to communicate with her via email, because quite simply no one here answers a phone. The goal with this dr is surgery and his staff could care less if you have questions, concerns. Ive asked repeatedly to speak to a nurse to inquire as to what procedure is wanted. Ive called/emailed and emailed a total of 30 times, all unresponsive. I've since decided to find another dr and despite his rave reviews, my confidence in him has dwindled primarily as a result of his staff. What many of these practices forget is that they are in business because of us, the patients. They lose sight of the fact that we are the bread to their butter. As for me, I refuse to put my daughter's care in their hands, I would rather find a dr who genuinely takes interest in the care of their patients as opposed to making me feel like nothing more than an annoying billing chart."

"Unfortunately we were not able to set up an appointment with this office. We heard many great things about Dr Mccash, we were referred over for my daughters hemangioma, she is 9 months old. We just moved to San Antonio, and just dealing with their staff for scheduling and then the administrative assistant… terrible. I was inquiring about if the Dr prescribes the medication for my daughter since the appointment for her to be seen wouldn’t be until late august and she’s almost out of her meds that she NEEDS. The reason for the inquiring was to know and to plan wether or not one I needed her pediatrician to send another referral to a derm doc to get this prescribed or two see if her old doctor can send a refill. The initial girl that took my call was rude even before I explained the reason for the visit, she didn’t even ask who the patient was or what the referral indicated, then she was not educated enough to understand what I was asking, but kept saying the doctor can’t prescribe a medication when he hasn’t seen the patient. Which I know. I was just trying to plan ahead and asking wether the doc prescribes this certain medication there was all I needed to know, because if he didn’t then I can make sure I do what is needed so my daughter can have the meds she needs. She didn’t ask what meds, she didn’t say “I’ll ask the nurse and I can get some more information and give you a call right back” Then the administrative assistant can’t recall his name, was helpful until he wasn’t. So I cancelled the referral, called her old doctor for a refill, and got her set up with another highly recommended doc with a sweet staff and a much sooner appointment, given her age and her diagnosis."

"My initial experience with this office is not a good one. I waited six weeks to get my toddler an appointment only for it to be canceled two days before. Upon calling to reschedule I was given ANOTHER six weeks out appointment! So it's going to be three months from my initial request to see Dr. McCash before actually seeing him. Not to mention the assistant that took my call was rude. I've never had to wait this long to have a specialist see any of my three children."
