"Best homemade pizza. We stopped by after hiking at Starved rock state park and reading all the positive reviews we decided to try this place. The joint takes you back to time, Sam is an amazing person to interact with and funny. He is really hardworking and super fast as well, we got our pizza within 20 mins. For $10 I was expecting the pizza to be average, but I was so wrong. I ended up eating more slices than I usually do. I would go back again. This is a must visit when you are in Oglesby."
"Sam is great, but I really can't say much for the pizza. Doughy crust, sauce just ok, sausage tasteless. Price was great, twelve inch pie for $9. So if I were starving, and broke, would try again."
"Travelling through from out of town, not many places open on a Sunday night. I was about to divorce my grumpy angry husband who is on this trip with me, but then he went to Sam's Pizza and came back with a huge smile on his face, chuckling, because he loved his conversation with Sam. It cheered him up immensely and I got to see the person I married Apparently Sam has quite the sense of humor! And the pizza was DELICIOUS! I regret not going to pick up the pizza to meet Sam. Sounds like he is a legend around here, and I bet his pizza is too! Thanks Sam, for saving me money for a divorce attorney, saving my marriage, and providing an amazing dinner!"
"This is one of those town favorites, great pizza, Sam's hard working one man show. And everyone keeps coming back for a reason. If they phone isn't going through, just order in person Sam sometimes gets too busy to attend calls."
