"Called to ask is they deal with a certain genetic disorder... person on other end if the phone had no clue and said she would have to have a referral before they would even tell me if they handle that condition... gave me the same ridiculous answer 10 times in a row..."

"I live in Abilene and have used the Cook Genetic Clinic here. I'm very grateful that Dr. Gamble along with other Cook Doctors are willing to travel here. I was able to do my visit via zoom yesterday with Dr. Gamble and Amy Thompson. They were both very thorough, knowledgeable, and kind. Thank yall for all you do."

"I had anticipated seeing another doctor but I was blown away by Dr. Carrasco! She was detailed and wanted to have all information before she made her recommendations. We had a virtual appointment and I was impressed! #EDS"

"Couldn’t find where we were supposed to park because it’s UNMARKED. Once we entered the building the receptionist was super snotty and rude about telling us where to park next time. Once we are called back we spend 15-20 minutes with a very sweet and professional young lady before meeting with the doctor. To say I’m not impressed was a HUGE understatement! Yes, I’m aware that my child is mentally rerarded. Yes, I understand that what cause it was genetic but instead of telling me that there is zero technology to help her, we went through almost an hours worth of sales pitch for my child, myself and my husband to be lab rats and have our DNA studied for other children in the future who may have the same condition.. we aren’t lab rats, we are HUMAN. My daughter isn’t a condition, she’s my baby.. she’s not dollar signs or whatever else they were thinking. Very insensitive. As we were leaving, the lady doing our check out was equally as rude as the First woman. I love cook for everything they have done for my child but we will never be returning to genetics again!!! To the lovely young lady that took our info inside of the room, you’re amazing. Keep up the great work, I’m sorry you work with such rudeness and ignorance."

"Our daughter is adopted with unknown paternity. By the time we came to the genetics clinic and Dr Basinger I was very anxious about our growing list of diagnosis. Dr Basinger was very calm and reassuring. She wrote a letter to our commercial insurance to get the testing covered. She is always wonderful to explain exactly what’s come up and to help us navigate this twisty road. We consider it a huge blessing to be under her care and will continue to drive 200 miles one way to see her."
