"Provider Shaw Carl R was horrible judgmental rude and most likely racist against Hispanics/ blacks, he acted like I was stupid telling me both of her ankles looked the same , I showed him photos of how swollen and out of place it looked when the incident first happened ( she landed on her foot wrong off a zip line that was pretty high up) and he didn’t care, even the workers at the trampoline park told me it looked dislocated, after she took meds and we waited for hours it went down and looked different then arrival, he also asked my 6 year old daughter what she liked to do for fun and she said play games with me and he responded maybe you should read a book, my daughter doesn’t know how to read yet she’s in kindergarten and I read to her every night..he came off annoyed that her speech wasn’t good enough but she’s dyslexic so I’m highly offended, I will be calling corporate because he should not work with children if he’s going to criticize them. Then as he left he began to laugh. Horrible doctor he should be held accountable for his horrible behavior. I was nothing but respectful and polite and my daughter and I were treated this way by him… other than that the nurses were great and very welcoming and respectful."

"The staff is very kind. They are attentive, understanding, and most importantly caring. I had surgery a while back and the doctors helped me comprehend that everything will be okay. I remember I was so afraid of Anastasia and the idea of being put to sleep, that I started crying, and they eased me down and we counted to 10 together. I know it sounds silly but they soothed me. Not only do they care about your physical well-being but emotional too. They also provided my ever first Build-a-Bear. I will never forget my experience in Cook Children's. I am so grateful for the care they provided towards me. Thank you for all your hard work!"

"We received the ABSOLUTE best care here. The nurses, doctors, just literally all of the staff is the best we've ever encountered. They took such good care of my daughter when she was in the hospital."

"I came here for a reoccurring issue that this hospital has seen my son for before. I came in at 12am just to be put into a room 7 hours later. Going on 10 hours and still have not seen a doctor or had my son treated. He gets really high fevers which causes seizures and he was not treated the whole time. He slept on waiting room chairs in discomfort and I stayed awake the whole time after a long days work hoping I would get my child some help. The nurses were nice although not much was done. I have the patience of the average person but this really grinds my gears. I am beyond exhausted and I have a child so out of it he can’t form sentences. You better believe they are going to try and bill me and my insurance for whatever care they want to claim they administered. Cooks is not what it used to be and is losing touch with being a reputable hospital for children. Sincerely one pissed momma."
