"Combs Properties is AMAZING! They built our home in Oakwood Manor on a very tight schedule in 2020 (in the middle of COVID no less!) and we're accommodating beyond what I was used to being from a large urban area in WA. We are a military family and had no issues with our home for our crazy pandemic PCS. We had such a wonderful experience with Chris that we chose him again to build us another home! I recognize I can be a bit difficult to work with because I'm very explicit in my 'wants', but Combs Properties bends over backwards to make me happy. You simply won't find better service. If you're looking to build a home, look no further. This company will jump every hurdle to make sure you're getting what you pay for, and with nothing but helpfulness, kindness, and respect along the way. I'd give them 10 stars if I could!"

"WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! Thieving people in there! They stole out of my house more than $1,000 worth of property! The lady in the back office is nothing but disrespectful! She wouldn't let me talk about the situation with the stolen property. Disgustingly rude! Glad to be moving from these thieves!!"

"DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE. We put in a 30 days notice to end our contract early. We paid the last two months rent in full and expected to have our security deposit back in 30 days. It has been two months since we have moved out and we have still not received our money back. Their reasoning behind us not having our money back, is because they don’t want to mail two checks...?Kelly is incredibly rude, and they the worst rental company I have ever dealt with. Save yourself the trouble of renting from here."

"I honestly have no idea what some of these 1-star reviews are about. I have lived in my duplex (Portales) for about 5-6 months now and by FAR they have been the most understanding and cooperative rental company I know. My roommate who has lived in the same duplex for the past 3 years has delayed numerous problems, including (but not limited to): a broken sink, broken central air conditioning unit, flushing feminine products down the toilet (and clogging it), etc. and I have called Comb’s about these problems and within 24-48 hours I have someone in my home fixing it. We have had the pest guy come and spray twice for safety purposes, we were given a new fridge when ours went out, and a new air conditioning unit within a week of calling. These people have been phenomenal! My roommate forgot to pay her rent one month, but since she had always remembered in the past, they waived her late fee. My rental check for this month (January 2020) was destroyed/lost in the USPS mail system and they told me that if the second check I sent was sent before the 5th (even if it got there later than the 5th) they would not charge me a fee because it was not my fault, but the USPS’s fault. They have been so generous in working with me and my roommate and I could not be more thankful that they are my rental company. As long as I am in Portales, I will always choose them."

"DO NOT waste your time renting from these heartless people. We lived in the same rental house for almost 3 years and we always paid our rent and they refused to work with us in a difficult financial situation after taking a partial payment and then took us to court and had us evicted when we were not even a full month behind. The housing manager also refused to look at me and my 2 young kids one of which is disabled."
