It allowed me to learn healthy coping styles and aid in strengthening my knowledge about mental illness and the linkage of my addiction and how they are interconnected. "I don’t recommend coming here at a Client or as a Resident. Mrs. Yolanda Ross is the worst one here, She will tell You how long she has worked here. She will follow this up by lying to You, harassing You, as well as belittling You as a human being. She is a snake, I do not recommend anyone coming to this Rehab if You truly want to keep Your Soberiety. They won’t help You in anyways other than handing You a piece or paper to DIY. Spare Yourself, it’s not humane in this environment."

"Great place to start your recovery journey. This program saved my life! I went to treatment here in 2019, and 2022. The first time I was court ordered and went through the motions but did not get honest with my counselor or myself. They helped me to get housing and I stayed sober for 6 months but went back out. I nearly lost my life back in the streets and returned with nothing but the clothes on my back. I was ready and willing to get uncomfortable and honest, and take the suggestions. I found freedom here. The staff were strict but encouraging. They are passionate about helping others and many of them are in recovery. That part actually inspires me to set goals to further my education and maybe return some day as a tech, or maybe even recovery coach, Lcdc, or RN. The classes empowered me with life skills and knowledge of the 12 step programs that are helping me change my life. They gave me clothes, food, a safe place to sleep, and a recovery coach to help me when I completed the program. They even helped me get medical and mental health services as well as outpatient treatment and sober living housing to support me as I continue to recover. SMH helped me find the courage to start living again. I was numbing my feelings and existing in despair and misery. If you are ready to change your life and need help getting clean reach out to them. They can help you. I have been in recovery since 10-20-2022. Thanks to Santa Maria my life has truly been changed. Ignore the low star reviews from addicts not yet ready to start recovering and willing to do what it takes. It's no resort or cake walk but it is safe and won't cost you anything. It just might save your life if you are ready!"

"I had a great experience here. I learned how to structure my life and deal with any obstacle without using. I've been in recovery since 3-14-23 I stayed at Santa Maria for 115 days. I'm so proud of my accomplishments and because if Santa Maria I'm in recovery and have my son. I can't ever give thanks enough to the staff at Santa Maria for caring for me when I didn't care for myself."

Through Recovery Support Peer Specialist, Recovery Coaches, and all the staff there my life went from being destined for death to almost 5 years clean.
