"They want you to be at the office 45 minutes before your appointment weather your paperwork is completed or not. Then you wait another 45 minutes to an hour before you're taken to a treatment room and wait another 20 minutes to be seen. The back office is Awesome! The doctors and medical staff are caring and concerned about the patients. The treatment plans reasonable and alternative treatments are also considered."

"I couldnt get past where they called the bill a co-pay. If they take insurance how is the co-pay $160? I declined the appointment cause I didnt want to get scammed by the check in window lady. Decided to go elsewhere."

"First off, Dr. Ma Luo is a wonderful doctor. I followed him from his previous practice and added an extra 30 minutes to my all ready 2.5 hour drive. What I really want to tell you about is how hard this office staff works , specifically Clarissa on Prior Authorizations for meds. My insurance company drops these randomly. I’ve been on my medication for a few years now. Clarissa had to go back and forth with the company and they kept denying it for stupid reasons and she kept giving them more information to prove the need. They kept denying it.Meanwhile Viola has me calling and calling stressing over this and me telling her what more info they wanted. It got to a point that Clarissa requested a peer to peer review and Dr. MaLuo debated with my insurance company on why the medication was warranted. After 3 previous denials this peer to peer sealed the case and it was approved. This staff goes to bat for you and so does Dr. Ma Luo. Not many docs get involved with the insurance end of things but he does. Thank you Clarissa, Viola, and the whole staff at SA Pain Clinic and of course Dr. Ma Luo. If you want a doctor and team that stands behind you then this is where you want to be."

"Office often fails to communicate or provide clear direction. There isn't any instruction leading up to appointments and you find out you need things after the fact. Blatant error on their part for scheduling appointment beyond prescribed amount of medication to only later find out you need to visit their office to refill prescriptions. Get a 30 day prescription but the appointment isn't for 45 days - that doesn't make sense when you are forced to come back to the office in 28 days. Never provided any details about there web portal and have to interact with front desk who are only available between 8-12 and 1-5."

"I've been a patient here since retiring from the Army 2 years ago. PA Trevino and Dr Gutenberg have completely turned my life around. I was hesitant to even go to pain management in the start. However following their advice and doing everything by the book I've been living a really great life and have been able to propel by small business and personal life back into success.
