"Unfortunately the front employees will be the reason I will be switching Doctors for my children. We have been very happy with Dr. Lauren Stein and I wish we could continue to take our children to her. The unpleasant experiences I have had with her staff have affected the Castroville location at Northeast Pediatrics. I wish the best for Dr. Stein and Dr. Rangel. Thank you for caring for my children, and if Dr. Stein ever switches locations or employs a more professional staff we would gladly come back."

"The San Antonio locations are wonderful, the Castroville office is terrible. Office staff is rude and unprofessional, nurses do not have good bedside manner with children. Sabrina knows her stuff and is normally very helpful, but each visit it seems her office mate is new and knows nothing. This new woman, Sandra, rude as hell. Wouldn't go back just to avoid her! Dr. Rangel is extremely and overly thorough, like take half a day off of work and you'll still need to see specialists that look at you like you're crazy and tell you your child is perfectly fine. We moved from Stone Oak to Medina Valley since it was closer to home, but decided to just make the drive for the better and more accurate care. Unfortunately this place will never be the same without Dr. Katy. If you do decide to be seen in San Antonio I recommend Carpenter, Pauli, Brown and Trimble! They have all been great with different kiddos!"

"I WASNT even able to schedule! I called to set up an appointment and was asked about my children’s vaccines. I explained a past situation with my children’s previous provider and was told “If you’re going to be that picky, they are not going to let me schedule you!” I ask for her name (Which was Sandra) she asked if I would like to speak to her manager. I said yes than was placed on hold. She came back on the line and said her manager was with her and started to explain protocol with me. I told her that I understand protocol but the reason I want to talk to her manager was because of her tone which was rude and condescending. I heard her repeat “she wants to talk to you because of the way I talked to her” with a GIGGLE ! Then came back on the line and said well I give my manager your number because she’s leaving the office right now. I’m sure the physician Is amazing! I unfortunately wasn’t even able to get that far. The only reason why I decided to come here was because Joseph Rangel was the provider that was designated by my kids insurance. I saw reviews and was content with what I read about him. Ill be calling my childrens insurance tomorrow and explain to them why I will be changing PCPs."

"Staff and Dr Rangel are very comfortable to be with. We moved from La where Reese had same pediatrician for 12 yrs. Reese was comfortable with Dr Rangel for his first appointment with a new doctor. Dr Rangel is a breath of fresh air. Everything about this office was a wonderful experience. He gave Reese advice to follow and Reese understood what he said. Yes, Reese is a lucky boy to be accepted in Dr Angel’s care"

"Dr. Rangel is very nice and gentle and with my daughter. He always has answers to our questions and shows his concerns and sympathy. Sabrina (office manager) is also extremely nice. She has gone above and beyond for my daughter and I when she needs to be seen last minute is able to get us in and is very quick to relay messages & return calls."
