"I called to make an appointment for an annual checkup, nothing out of the ordinary, just a routine physical. The person on the phone scheduled it with the PA. When I went to the appointment the paperwork read that it was an annual physical. When the PA saw me she asked if there was anything I was worried about, so I told her that my knee had been hurting and that I sometimes got a rash around my neck. She visually inspected me and said things looked ok and to just keep an eye on it. She then asked me to come in next week for labs, which I thought was odd since labs are normally done before the appointment, but I didn’t make much of it. Later on I got a bill in the mail for the visit even though it was supposed to be covered at 100% by insurance since it was preventative care. After calling the insurance I realized this was billed as a standard office visit instead of an annual physical. I tried calling the clinic to see about getting this corrected but it was hard to get a hold of anyone, and when I did, they said they were the billing department and needed to call the clinic to validate my claim. Now I’ve received a second bill in the mail. This felt like a scheme to get paid twice for a simple physical. Not coming here again and I recommend that others don’t either."
