"Called in for appointment today in this location since they open an hour earlier that their McAllen location. The receptionist was awful and hung up in the middle of trying to make appointment. I called back and spoke with PA Lupita and she took the time to hear me out. Hope these interactions that the front clerk go all the way to Dr. Gutierrez. Based of the reviews on this office it is not the first time patients complain. I have come here since the 1996 but I think time for a change."

"Extremely rude nurses especially the front receptionist, whoever was in the morning on 12/11 needs to get fired. You can't even ask a question without getting an answer with attitude and a nasty face. One star is generous for this place. Just awful how they treat patients."

"A couple of years ago I moved to Texas and was looking for a PCP. With that being said, my brother told me about how good Dr. Marco Gutierrez was and I scheduled a appointment at his Alamo location. His staff on the other hand is rude, PA C. Carr, PA S. Iglesias and back office staff Maribel. As a matter of fact, the last time I went to the Alamo location and saw PA S. Iglesias, Maribel decided to come to the receptionist area, and basically laugh in my face. I can only guess that the PA I SAW ON THAT Particular day, said something to Maribel about OUR SO CALLED PATIENT / PA visit which was a privacy breach as the back office staff does not need to know what the PA and I discussed !!! These so-called medical professionals are not professional at all, and if they do not enjoy their career, then they should consider choosing another one. Dr. Marco Gutierrez on the other hand is very kind, patient and I would not want to change him as my PCP for the world, but his staff needs to work on their bedside manners and treat their patients with kindness and respect. They show no compassion whatsoever and I also worked in the medical /dental field in Florida and I was very compassionate to all of our patients, because as we all know, if we are seeking help from medical professionals, we deserve to be treated with utmost respect and kindness !!! If the shoe was on the other foot, and if it was them that was being treated in this manner and as if they was just another number, they wouldn’t appreciate the fact that they was being treated unfairly to say the least !!!! BTW, the 5 star rating as far as the Alamo personnel is concerned, is only for Dr. Gutierrez and I truly hope he works on his staff as far as their attitudes are concerned with his patients !!!"

"I used to come here growing up and it has changed. A lot. I just moved back from Houston and was feeling under the weather so I decided to be seen here since I grew up coming to this place. The provider I saw Celina Carr was really rude. She barged into the room didn’t even introduce herself and said “so what’s going on today”. I haven’t been here in years, and yet i was being treated as if I’m a weekly bother. I’m in the medical field myself, and I understand that we are all patients at one point so I try to be kind to everyone. She needs to learn to understand this as well. Despite her being rude I continued the visit in a calm manner but I can just imagine how she treats other patients. She didn’t even remember my symptoms after telling her at the very beginning, so i felt unheard. The only reason I know her name is because it was on my prescription bottle. It’s unfortunate to say that I won’t be coming here again. The medical staff was nice and respectful but that’s about the only nice thing I can say about my experience. Please work on training your providers to be kinder to patients."
