"I moved here 2 years ago from Houston and all 3 of my kids had the same pediatrician for over 12 years and I was terrified that I wouldn't find another Dr or PA-C that I would find acceptable. Los Fresnos is so small but Dr. Alvarez is amazing with the kids, and makes them feel very comfortable. I haven't had to wait very long but I worked as a Medical Assistant for 12 years and understand how things get out of the Drs and nurse's control and end up taking longer than expected. So, I don't think their wait times are anything abnormal. I do wish that they would take appointments though and not just walk ins. The front desk and triage guy could be a little more welcoming and smile a little bit but overall, I definitely recommend them and you can't beat the amazing hours they have. I'm a single mom with a busy schedule and I can squeeze appointments in more conveniently than most places."

"I have been taking my children since the office first opened. I love Dr. Alvarez' s bedside manner. He is very sweet and caring towards his patients. The front office staff on the other hand, don't so much as offer you a smile or have the least bit of empathy. Went in today with my son agonizing in pain, was told there was only 1 family ahead and that it wouldn't take long. We advised my son's fever had spiked from 100.7-102.3 in 30 minutes time. Didn't acknowledge or so much as offer an ice pack for him. Took an hour and a half to finally triage him in and it was only after my husband went and let them know for a 3rd time that my son was not feeling well at all. The cherry on top was being asked to fill out all initial paperwork that has been on file for the last 10 years....they have all of his history and acted as if they had none of that information on file."
