Dearborn Trail

"GREAT point to point trail! Plenty of wildlife with a pond, creak, river, and fields. There are tons of birds for watching. Saw a turtle as well. Two bridges to cross for site seeing. Plant life is so gorgeous here as well Some parts of the trail are sun beaten asphalt and will be super hot, so bring shoes or carry the fur baby over those expanses. Best part of the trail is the wild mulberry trees! They're extremely invasive, so if you see one, you'll see five. Don't just pick and eat, though! Covered in bugs. Always soak in water (some do salt water) for a while and rinse before consuming."

"A nice paved trail that runs from Aurora to Lawrenceburg. People are friendly and there are not a lot of sketchy parts of the trail. Seems like they keep it pretty clean and free of debris. Fun time for family outings."

"My dad walks this trail often, and I joined him while in town visiting the last two visits. Lots of shade trees on the Aurora side in sumner. Love the wood sculptures and carvings. We encountered tons of wildlife each time, friendly walkers, and cyclists. Beautiful trail to enjoy for some outdoor leisure time and/or exercise."

"While the river is up around 46' currently, this trail is completely under water. The dog park is still open and mostly dry though. Few mud spots here and there."

"My husband and I enjoy taking walks together and Dearborn Trail is one of my favorites! It connects Aurora and Lawrenceburg. The Aurora side of the trail is beginning to pop up with wood sculptures that make the walk even more enjoyable."
