Homewood Suites by Hilton Houston Downtown

"I normally prefer Homewood Suites wherever I’m in search for a place to stay. They have a good reputation for always be clean and comfortable. But the only thing saving this review is the fact that this location is convenient. We checked in late that night, check-in staff were ok, a bit unprofessional. We parked across the hotel in the lot over night which saved us $50 from valet, everything was fine but beware: park at your risk. I truly felt like I paid Homewood suites (a little more expensive) price for Hampton Inn rooms. They share elevators and "split" turn right got Hampton Inn guest rooms and turn left Homewood suites guest rooms. So..?? Rooms need to be updated. Water pressure is low in the shower, as I slide the shower door, black rubber door hinge falls off and this glass door is literally swinging back and forth only being held by the top portion of the shower. Beds are uncomfortable and sheets had a few little black curled hair here and there."

"Hotel very nice staff is great. The bar closes extremely early and the breakfast is not very good. But the location to Minute Maid is great and I will use again"

"I stayed here for 7 days and can't complain about the hotel. PROS: Room was really nice, breakfast was good too with a lot of options. Very convenient location and walkable distance to many restaurants and attractions. CONS: I'm not blaming the hotel on this to be clear BUT it gets very very noisy during the weekends. My Saturday, Sunday and Friday night before leaving. My room was in the 12 floor and I felt like I was trying sleep in the street. Race cars, pick up truck caravans with sound systems very very loud. It was my first time in staying in downtown so that was the price to pay."

"Very impressed with the quality and comfort of the room. The room felt like you were at a resort based on all the high quality the materials in the room and having a dishwasher, stove and fridge raider. Walk-in shower was very nice for someone that needed handicap accessibility even though the room wasn’t necessarily marketed for that purpose. Room smelled new and clean with cold air conditioning. Would highly recommend for anyone traveling to Houston for vacation or conference."

"Nice rooms service and location. Have to pay for valet parking. Its a decent deal compared to lots around the area and your car is probably safer. Houston is the car theft capital of the state currently is what I was told while in town for work training more than one guy has had their truck stolen from a hotel in the last few months. Minute maid park is right across the street and you can see the fireworks. Pool is decent but water was really warm when I was there so not really refreshing. Neighboring rooms were kind of noisy people just let their kids run wild nowadays"
