Palace Inn I-45 & Crosstimbers

"The rooms are cheap and the guy don't allow alot of visitors which is good. If you need a cheap place to sleep for a few days near the freeway and downtown this is a good location. They have a gate that doesn't allow just anyone inside so your vehicle is a little safer than if it was an open parking lot. The have clean beds and room service. The place is affordable if your working near downtown this is perfect. They have gas stations and restaurants in walking distance. The metro bus is in walking distance. They also have Walmart right around the corner. If your coming from out of town this would be an alright location but still be cautious because it's still near a bunch of homeless people under the freeway. You could probably find one with a better view of your were booking from out of town. But if your coming from somewhere like Detroit a few homeless kush heads won't bother you. But if your trying to impress someone this isn't the spot. Sleep , work and take a shower meanwhile save money this is probably a good spot for you."

"Staff is superb, Service was adequate and the rooms were okay. But by far the Location is what's best about this property, take the red-line through downtown Houston and stop at your favorite destinations from the Theatre District to the Museum District, this hotel is most convenient!"

"Some details the website will not tell you! You’re only allowed two guest per room. After your first guest the second one will pay a fee to come in. I have never stayed at a hotel who does this! I left because I had 3 friends with me and one couldn’t come in. Yes I left him know the room it’s just for me it didnt Matter"

"I've stayed here close to 3 years. It's mainly quite, clean, and secure. But I don't suggest doing any work for the owner. He still owes me a lot of money, then after I did the work he cheaply paid me for, he raised my room rate. Dudes a cheap skate, I don't care if he sees this or who sees it. In fact I recommend staying here, especially if you need a room that has burglar bars or steel shutters on your windows. Come see my quality work and feel secure during your stay. The most secure place in the hood. Tell the owner he owes me. He knows what room I'm in."

"This place is nothing but a place to lay your head and shower. Bed frame had mold, and saw a couple of squashed dried up bugs that looked fairly old. The thing that disappointed me the most was receiving an email with check out times and being noticed that a check out time of 12pm - 3pm will require a fee, obviously meaning that you must check out before 12pm (mid day). However, I received a call from the reception at 10:45am on the day of my check out being told that I must check out before 11am or else I will receive a $25 fee. I found this absolutely ridiculous as the email said otherwise, and had planned my day specifically. The receptionist was quite rude about it too. Also, the WiFi password they gave me expired on my last night there. Nothing but a place to lay your head. The air conditioning system is really bad for hot weather. Had it on the coolest setting and the room was still very muggy and humid. The cleaners come in once a day to replace your towels which was nice. Location was great for me, needed for White Oak Music Hall which is only a 5 minute drive. Also right next to a gas station, walmart, CVS, iHop, etc. Good location, poor experience, but got the necessities sorted."
