Staybridge Suites Houston - Medical Center, an IHG Hotel 9000 South Main Street, Houston, TX 77025

"Booked this hotel for a medical visit for my son. Staff at front desk were very friendly and helpful. Our room was nasty! First thing we noticed was that our room was definitely not cleaned. AC vents were full of black crud. Looked like they had never been cleaned. There was dust all over the headboard on the bed and there was random stains and splatters on the walls and doors in places. Due to us finding out there was a rodeo in town during our stay we were unable to really book and go anywhere else. Thought maybe cleaning staff were in a hurry to clean because of so much going on but the fact that the AC vents were full of black nasty crud tells me that they did not clean this room in a very long time. Will go elsewhere next time::: Update.::: to make this stay even worse was the fact that there was a fight of some kind in the apartment complex parking lot next-door. Some girl kept screaming and screaming profanities that I guarantee everybody on that side of the hotel heard. It kept us up half the night."

"I needed a place near the Med Center, with shuttle service. This place fit the bill. Warm full breakfast, which I had for brunch, due to fasting. Courteous shuttle driver got me there on time and pickup was less than 10 mins. I will stay again."

"It was the 1st time I got disappointed by Staybridge. The room had a very strong odor of paint solvent. I noticed it right after I checked in. But I ignored it partly because I had flown in from Atlanta and wanted to dose off, and partly because I de-sensitized to pain smell because of ongoing renovation projects at my place. 1st night went fine. The morning after the 2nd night one of companions started to complain of burning eyes and itchy throat. I told the reception and asked to meet the manager. Meeting with manager was not possible because it was a Sunday. I called the manager 2 days later and was told that I was not pro-active enough to inform them right away. They have not offered me any resolution yet, but the room was definitely not worth the $$$ I paid for a 2 night stay. They can offer better service."

"Normally, I would rate this location with the stars, but we choose this hotel due to the proximity to the Texans Yellow lot and to stay after we visit the games. However, since we were not allowed to cancel and get a refund, the Texans game time changed and we did not need to stay, we decided to stay. Now, our room is classed as an Ada room, but most of the lights do not work, the fan and stove light does not work, and the room smells like cat pee."

"Roach Infested. Do not stay here! Dropped my things off in my room and left to a concert. Came back to my room with my 10 year old daughter to find a roach infestation. Had to check out at 1:30 am because I was not going to let my daughter sleep in a roach infested room. There was roaches of all sizes in the room, especially very small ones on the mattress. The front desk person Debonea Nzeh said I would get a full refund because of my troubles. I call in Sunday, the manager is not available, Call in Monday and the manager Chantal Kelly said they can only offer me a 50% refund on my $300 a night room because I stayed longer than half an hour in the room. I will never be staying in this or any of the IHG properties again if your policy is to give me 50% of my money back if the room I am staying in is roach infested. It makes no difference how much time was spent there, if you find roaches you should not be responsible for paying for the room you are staying it. It is not acceptable to have to stay in a room that is full of cockroaches, period."
