Holiday Inn Express & Suites Houston Northwest-Brookhollow, an IHG Hotel 4900 Federal Plaza Drive, Houston, TX 77092

"If you can stay somewhere else, do so. This location lacks the Holiday Inn statndard that I am accustomed to. The entire building needs an update, water pressure is non existent, furniture in room has years of abuse and night staff was rude, no one at front desk for checkout. I will not be returning."

"I’m sorry the people are great service was good location wasn’t an issue IHOP next door now let’s get to it room was good other then o was siting watching tv when all the saddle I see something crawling up the wall and low and behold it’s was two cockroach’s going up the wall I packed my stuff and was out of their. The nice lady at the front desk offered a different room but I explained to her if you got 1 you have a thousand of them bugs changing rooms don’t help told her the whole hotel needed to be fumigated. Waited for an Uber and out of there."

"I’ve stayed at this property probably 20-30 nights over the last 4 years. The location works perfect for me, and this hotel has usually been a solid 4-star review. However, it’s my understanding that this property is under new ownership and they don’t want to spend money. I spent 4 nights here 12/19-12/23 and none of the breakfasts had eggs, cinnamon roll, pancakes or orange juice. Instead, two mornings there were spring rolls. One morning, at 7:30am, there was no food. At all. Other times there were tortillas, some mystery meat (I think), something that appeared to be some sort of bread with maybe cinnamon on it. They at least had sausage and in the last morning, biscuits and gravy. Instead of OJ, the machine was pouring tang. The coffee wasn’t in the normal labeled cups, instead small styrofoam cups with no lids. Room was ok, except only two coffee pods, a burned out bathroom light and some off brand toiletries (not the Dove that most Expresses use). Onsite manager was professional, polite and understanding and did her best to make something good out of something bad. I would suggest avoiding this property if you know what the Holiday Inn Express experience is supposed to be. New owners have to get it right before I’ll return. Too many other decent hotels around to waste time on a bad experience."

"Room wasn't as clean as I'm used to getting at H.I. Express. There was only "1" cup for coffee in the room, and the turn stil/table/plate in the microwave did not turn. Best thing about this location was the great breakfast that was served the morning of 12/03/2023. That's almost enough to forgive the negatives. Yes, I'll be back."

"The smoke alarm had a low battery and I requested it to be fixed. After 2 lost nights of sleep and it still chirping, had to change rooms. Manager didn't care. They promised it was fixed, but when I walked in on the 3rd day, it was still chirping. They lied to my fax and promised 5k points, none which have reached my account. Even the luggage rack was broken. The flapper on the toilet was broken. I was promised it would be fixed with the smoke alarm, and nada. Facility looks nice from the outside, but the rooms are VERY dated."
