"Was informed my insurance would cover my operation by Purchase Anesthesia as well as Mercy Health, and was hit with big bill. It's my fault for believing them without getting anything in writing or asking my own insurance, but this is a poor practice and they obviously aren't to be trusted. When I reached back out to them, I was told "We wouldn't tell anyone whether or not their insurance will cover the operation." If you would have told me that at the get go, instead of "yeah", I would have acted differently. That is why I feel it is necessary to share this. Even the surgical tech said I was good. If you don't actually know, don't lie."
