Southwestern Medical Center - Hospital

"I’ve always had the best experiences at Southwestern Medical Center but as of today that ends. I’ve been sick for about 3 days and finally decided to go to the hospital. When I get there the nurse at check in seems like she’s annoyed. As a person with anxiety you would hope that you would be safe at the hospital. I sign in and another nurse shows up and her attitude is even worse. I sit there waiting to be seen and this elderly couple walk in. The man is filling out the form for his wife and asks how to spell shoulder. One nurse ignores him and gives a condescending smile and we make eye contact the other nurse rudely spells it for him but she’s talks too fast for him. I quickly get called back and the nurse that takes my vitals is quite distant and rude, like how dare I come in. I didn’t even make eye contact. She then leads me to a hallway were I have been sitting uncomfortably for the last 45mins. I couldn’t imagine the stress of this job and I appreciate their time but they need to do better. I’ve never felt so worthless at a hospital"

"I was seen in the ER today for some worsening symptoms. Dr. Roberts and Payton, LPN were absolutely amazing. They both listened to me and Payton made sure I was comfortable, all my symptoms were noted and verified to make sure nothing was missed. CT and ultrasound techs were also amazing. Thank ya'll for amazing care and a great experience."

"I had to be taken via ambulance to the ER due to low blood sugar. The ambulance folks from Comanche County Memorial Hospital were caring and reassuring. They worked quickly to get me to the South Western Medical Center ER. When I arrived the staff worked quickly to get me connected to an IV and to get X-Rays and a CT done. Doctor Kennedy is an upfront doctor. I like that. The nurses especially were great at what they did for me. I would like to commend Nurse Danielle Corley. Her first contact with me was comforting and her voice was calm. That put me at ease not knowing what was wrong with me. She knew exactly what had to be done and coordinated Doc Kennedy's orders. There were so many other wonderful nurses and staff that treated me like family that I would like to commend but I don't know their names."

"I just had a scheduled c-section here and my experience was absolutely 10/10 all around. My delivery room nurse Jill couldn't have been better, and one of my night nurses Beth was the most helpful and sweet postpartum nurse I've ever had! Both ladies were extremely patient, informative, and empathetic. I could not have asked for a better experience!"

"My husband came in through the ER. He was seen promptly and taken care of very well by Kaydea. She was great. He was put on surgical for a few days. Brande was hands down the best! I felt comfortable going back to work knowing he was in good hands with her during the day. Briana P was very helpful helping him choose his food from the menu. She was patient and took her time making sure he was getting something he’d like. Lab came in a couple times, he hates being stuck but he said Chloe did an awesome job. He had a mostly good experience overall."
