"I honestly have never encountered such a negative experience from what is supposed to be a professional physician in our community. Dr.Nia Hansen took me for a first apt in her office and I completed all paperwork for her. We were maybe 15 minutes into the visit and She took up my time and then perceived to tell me that I needed to tell her which way I was feeling option1 or option 2 because she needed to get paid. “Wow” the first 15 minutes into the visit btw. And then she perceived to tell me that she wasn’t taking anymore patients and that I could go on her waiting list if need be I guess based on my results. Who knows. Well, no thank you. Could it have been because I am on Medicaid? I said I would pay cash. I even had other physicians call me in the interim but I turned them down because I was excited to go to my appointment and talk through things/challenges going on in my life with a professional as I wanted a psychologist. She even said ... you are counseling material but totally discounted my feelings and really didn’t care. She was cold ... “wow” is all I can say. What if I was in such a depressed state that I would have left her office and something happen? Well it didn’t but thank goodness she is not going to EVER BE MY THERAPIST. I will make sure that the insurance company knows exactly how she operates. This is unprofessional, unnecessary, and absurd. My time is just as valuable as hers. I took it that she didn’t want to be at that practice. Look out she is not nice."

"I started seeing Beth Simon after I has my son . I suffered from really bad post partum anxiety and depression. Beth has a good balance of listening to what you have to say, but also giving advice - even when it's hard or what you do not want to hear. With her help I was able to overcome some really great struggles. Along with being incredible knowledgeable and wise, she is also really funny and down to Earth - which really helped me. I also like that the further I have gotten past my postpartum, she doesn't make me feel like I have to come see her again. She asks me if I want to make a follow-up visit. I have had a few issues with their billing office, that were very stressful but I worked out, but the benefits of Beth far outweigh those negatives."
