"The biggest problem with this hotel is its location. The building is situated off the street behind several businesses, making it difficult to locate the entrance. Add to that the traffic in that area is ridiculously heavy, so if you get in the wrong lane, it can take you 15 minutes to get turned around and to the hotel. We've stayed here several times. The hotel is nice enough, the staff have always been friendly, and the price is reasonable, but there is a reason the price is so low. Locating the hotel and dealing with the traffic in that area, especially on your first visit, is not worth the aggravation."
"Make sure to guarantee status of your room at check-in. I'm a platinum member, and was guaranteed a late checkout today, but they called in the morning to deny what they'd promised. First time that ever happened at ANY Marriott to me."
"My husband and I spent only one night, but I wish we had more time. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were even cleaner. Kimberly at the front desk greeted us and helped with all of the local questions. She suggested a local taco place that had great food. The beds were very comfortable. Firm but soft at the same time. The water pressure was great in the shower, and we didn't hear any noise from the hallway. The complimentary breakfast was good but would like more selections. This place still deserves a 5 star. Next time we are in San Antonio, we will definitely come back to stay longer."
"Excellent service and rooms are awesome! Still kinda pricey. $140 during the week, $170+ weekend. Food was good and free. ( included in price)"
"First of all this was my first time at this hotel. My family and I enjoy staying at Marriott Hotels. But this one did not meet my expectations. As we arrived, the front desk representative did not have any answers to my questions. She only responded with “I need to ask my manager and I’ll get back to you.” Which by the way she never did. As we go in the room, there were hairs on a pillow, and a pillow case was stained with I don’t know what. I called downstairs to see if a lobby attendant could bring me some pillowcases. But I guess they were short staffed because the front desk agent was the one who brought the items to the room. Also, the bathroom had hairs everywhere, from the tub to the floor. The microwave was dirty and there was something sticky next to the ice bucket. The beds were really hard, they felt like I was laying on a box spring instead of a mattress. I didn’t get any sleep at all. In the morning housekeeping wanted to open my room, it wasn’t even check out time and I had the privacy sign on the door. Also, they were really loud and we could hear their entire conversation. It was like they were doing it on purpose so we can leave sooner. When I wanted to check out there was nobody at the front desk and I ask the lobby attendant if I could get some help? and she seemed frustrated and just walked to the back and didn’t even smile once. This hotel really disappointed me. I will not come back to this location. I do not recommend this hotel at all."
