"This place was HELL when we moved in as first time renters DO NOT MOVE IN WITH THESE PEOPLE. when we got our keys there was a lady in the lane over form us and she had a 600 dollar fee for a water bill and had multiple issues with her apartment that was continuing for 3 month in 2020."

I figured they would have had this documented themselves when someone moved out but not surprised. DO NOT rent from here. "I heard that there was a management change a while ago and that things were better, but I've been here for a little while after that. The apartment is fine but the customer service cares nothing about the renter. They have policies that aren't clearly laid out at the lease signing and are quick to threaten eviction or fines as if looming around every corner. Seriously, it's a dystopian nightmare. "My husband and I lived at the Ty Court apartments with Foxglove for three years. We had a great experience and would highly recommend this complex. It is quiet for the most part and we always felt safe to go on walks in the evenings around the complex. Anytime we had a maintenance issue they addressed it quickly, often the same day, and never over 2-3 business days for non-emergencies. They are prompt to answer questions and very professional. I feel like they get a bad reputation for not refunding deposits, but we received our deposit back with no issue - we did clean the apartment well (as you should). We took care of the apartment and always paid our rent on time - if you do this you should have no issues at all. Thank you Foxglove for making our first home together one we will remember fondly!"
"RENTERS BEWARE: So I got a bill about a month after we move out that we are going to get turned into a collection agency if I don’t comply. I never received a phone call, not a one. Just this email, and I was later told they wrote a letter to my emergency contact. Email from the leasing office: The charges are for the following; $57.07 Replaced drip pans and bulbs with a minimum charge of one hour for labor $143.37 Move out prorated rent for five days In order to record an unpaid debt, we are required to send written notification. I sent an email as a courtesy in an attempt to reach you so you were aware that the debt was due and to avoid any surprises on credit reporting. Email from me: The following email is broken into three sections to help with replying to each part of your email itemizing charges. Charge 1: $57.07 for drip pans and bulbs, one hour of labor Per section 10 of the lease, the tenant is supposed to keep the premises in good condition, minus normal wear and tear. The drip pans were not damaged. They were also clean. I can not comprehend what could have been considered damage. Also, light bulbs were purchased and replaced prior to move out, even though there is no specification of having to replace light bulbs before move out. In fact, the lease specifies having to replace batteries in smoke detectors, but light bulbs going out are not and are considered normal wear and tear. We will not be making a payment for this charge. Charge 2: $143.37 for 5 days prorated rent The office was contacted 2 to 3 weeks prior to end of the lease date asking the exact move-out date and the process for moving out. The date was then told and we were told we could leave keys on the counter. We were both out before the move-out date. The five days pro-rated rent makes no sense as we were not there, our stuff was moved out, and we left the keys, terminating our stay. We will not be making a payment for this charge. So. . . I received an email back stating the charges are not negotiable and if you don’t pay, we are sending you to collections. My charges are not backed up by their contract, the contract is very vague, and of course vague enough they can make up their own rules to make some money. The charges are just enough money the tenant won’t fight too hard, and isn’t enough to get a lawyer. Well after hearing these issues from several of my friends that have lived there, and now myself, I decided to investigate and it seems pretty spot on. Little does Fox Glove Management know, that several of their leasing procedures are illegal. By state law all deposits have to be deposited into an account only used for deposits, and you are required to let your tenant know what bank it goes too. The state of Kentucky also requires a check list that is to be used and signed off when a person moves in AND out, which we didn’t get one of those moving out. I just wanted to put this out here because I know multiple people have had bad experiences with Foxglove Management, from word of mouth, online reviews, the BBB, and complaints I got when I was a local news reporter. It was an awful, awful, uneasy, unfriendly experience. Please find a small reliable company or one person to rent from in Richmond, it’s not worth your time and money."
