"We have been part of Community Montessori since my children started school (pre-K and K) and they are currently in 7th and 10th grade. We have been extremely happy with our choice in selecting a non traditional school experience. Not only does learning happen everywhere in their school day (and encouraged outside of school hours), they are loved and respected as humans. The learning also goes beyond your traditional school subjects and again teaches our children to be helpers, kind and accepting members of society. The teachers go above and beyond and we are so thankful to them."

"I have two children who attend Community Montessori. I have been a Montessori parent for 8 years now. It makes me feel proud to say that my children go to this school. The staff at the school are always friendly and welcoming. There has never been a time where they have not gone above and beyond to help me or to help my children. My children have been excited to go to school each day and enjoy learning using all of the materials that Community Montessori offers in class. Their teachers have always made sure to take the time to get to know the children and help them learn and grow. We really feel like we are part of our children's learning community and involved in their school lives."

"I went to this school for one year which was my freshman year. Over all socially and emotionally it really helped and I was grateful for that, but education wise it is not a great option at least for high school. Some main criticisms I have are combined classes and having the main core classes only two days a week and how you have to take classes on your own and aren’t given resources. For example, I took French one when I was there. We only had world language one day a week and the teacher taught Spanish german and French. They only knew how to speak a little bit of Spanish and no other language so I was left in the dark and had to restart taking Spanish my sophomore year. We also used duolingo to learn and at one point I was the one making study guides for tests in French. I had to take independent art and theatre credits and was given little support on them. My plan was never communicated to the main teacher who grades the independent credits and I almost lost the credit because they didn’t grade it till the end of the year which would have caused me to be behind on track to graduating when I switched. They do have dual credit courses however which is a good program to have for students. I would consider sending my child here for elementary and preschool but the middle and high school area’s aren’t great for kids. You are given too much freedom and some students thrive with that but some students will not do anything and most of the time nothing is done about that."

"We’re in our 5th year at Community Montessori and our daughters at Lee thriving in all areas: academically, socially, and emotionally. The philosophy of the school is very different that traditional schooling and you fully understand what Maria Montessori believed and wanted for children then I believe your family can embrace all the school has to offer. I’m against standardized testing and teaching to a test. I’m glad my children can pick and focus on topics of their own choosing. My ‘kindergartner’ really took to math and was already working on multiplication. She didn’t get bored waiting on other children to catch up because she was able to keep working at her pace as other children can learn at their leisure. The teachers are always p serving and willing to keep your child engaged and progressing. I love that they focus on being outdoors and exploring the nature all around the school- cold and rainy weather doesn’t stop them from exploration. They also have the freedom to invite their siblings/friends for lunch and my girls love that they can visit and interact throughout the day."

"We are so grateful that we found this school for our daughter. She has grown in so many ways, and our entire family dynamic has changed thanks to the Montessori philosophy. The way the staff members and teachers respect the learners and their individual needs is unmatched! We love the focus on independence and respect. Highly recommended!"
