"I purchased a Global Furniture Group chair from Staples nine years ago. Given the chair had a ten year manufacturer's warranty, when the armrest failed, I submitted a web form request via their website and never heard anything. So I called the toll free number and I was told they don't deal with consumers and that I need to go to Staples. I was even willing to pay a reasonable price for a replacement armrest but doesn't appear to have a replacement part business. This makes their warranty worthless. The only reason I'm not giving them one star is because, except for the armrest, the chair was solid. Update 05/15/19: After posting the original two star review, the Carrollton location responded and got HQs (NJ) involved and M Orlic came to the rescue! She shipped me two new arms and my chair is back in business. I increased to four stars -- I can't give five stars since there were two fails in Global HQs that started this."

"I just want to point out that the Global Furniture Group is not Global Industrial & does not carry Hirsch files. Global Furniture Group is a Canadian Manufacturer with Wholesalers throughout the US."
"I ordered and received two (2) Hirsh lateral filing cabinets and had them shipped to our new home that was under construction. The shipment was received with slight damage to the exterior packaging. As best that the driver and I could see, there was no damage to the shipment items. The shipment was received Dec 31, 2014. We opened the packages Jan 28, 2015 after we had moved into the new house. There was extensive damage to both filing cabinets. Since the damages were not brought to Roadrunner Transportation's attention within 15 days of shipment, they have refused to accept a claim. Global Industrial cites federal law that damages must be reported within 15 days. Federal law is a curtain behind which these two companies want to hide behind in order to avoid having to deal with a claim. Global sold the items to me with freight included in the price. They chose the carrier and paid the carrier. I'm extremely disappointed with Global Industrial."
