"We took a simple chair to be reupholstered. It was an older Ethan Allen wood chair, so we opted to recover it to match our new decor. It was basically a wood framed chair with 2 cushions. The fabric I picked out was plaid, which I had to buy myself, up front....$100 for fabric + $250 for the upholsterer. The owner never told me he couldn't line up the plaid when I gave him the fabric. When I got it back, I was completely shocked that nothing lined up. My husband called and complained. Glotia, the owner was very nice and said he'd redo it after the holidays. We waited for 2 months and took it back in January 2021. When we picked it up it the second time it was even worse! Not only was the plaid completely off, but the lines were even crooked....also NOW the seams at the zippers are inside out, with the raw edges showing & unraveling! Gloria said the plaid can't be lined up.... I've never heard such a thing. I'm SO disappointed!! Now I'm stuck with a chair that looks like this, and out several hundred dollars! The owner never offered us our money back, so I will have to pay to get it reupholstered by another company. (You can see the response from the owner, under the last picture)"
