Welcome to Pennyroyal Scuba Center, located at 602 Christian Quarry Road in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, United States. As Kentucky’s only full-service, diver-exclusive facility, we are proud to offer crystal-clear water and warm southern hospitality at our beautiful 22-acre rock quarry. Conveniently located inside the city limits, our facility provides a variety of attractions, hotels, and dining experiences for our guests.
At Pennyroyal Scuba Center, our mission is to provide a safe and enjoyable scuba park where divers of all levels can practice skills, enjoy diving, and complete certification dives. Owned by Dennis and Kris, we want you to feel like part of our family each time you visit.
If you have a camper or RV and wish to stay at the park, you can reserve your RV site online. Please note that RV sites are limited to certified divers and students attending certification classes. For those looking to expedite the check-in process, new divers can complete the waiver online and print their pass for express check-in.
Our general diving ticket is perfect for buddy teams, while the weekend dive pass includes entry for both Saturday and Sunday. Solo divers must have a solo waiver and dive plan approved by our staff. Non-diving guests accompanying a diver can also purchase a pass for entry.
For those in need of equipment, we offer rental packages including air cylinders, BCDs, regulators, weights, and wetsuits. Additionally, we provide Nitrox fills and overnight accommodations for a comfortable stay.

"Great dive site. Wonderful visibility and beautiful location. Staff were very friendly and they come down to get your cylinder for refill. There are TONS sunken items to explore and they even have underwater lighthouses that can be used to improve navigation skills. If you sign up before you arrive be sure to print your tickets. We didn’t have access to a printer so we had to go inside to complete the registration. Not an issue but just a heads up if you want to get diving more quickly."
"Great place to learn to dive. For a quarry, the visibility is good. Latter part of the summer is warm enough just to dive skin's, unless you are going deep. First thermocline is usually around 25'"
"First trip here and had an amazing time this weekend. Have been diving Mermet Springs exclusively prior to this trip. While mermet is a really awesome place to dive as well, the visibility there doesn't even compare to PR. Will definitely be back. The only unfortunate thing was my Mares scuba mask turned up missing over the weekend in between dives. Signed my son up who is stationed at Fort Campbell for his open water cert!"
"Absolutely loved my experience here. The site is very well maintained, the staff is very friendly, there are lots of things to see underwater. The quarry is very well laid out as well, with easy entrance and exit to the water, ample parking, and enough campground surrounding it. Will absolutely dive again!"
