Holiday Inn Express & Suites Mission-McAllen Area, an IHG Hotel

"Loved this place. Extremely comfortable beds and pillows; very clean from the parking lot to the rooms. And a delicious breakfast. I hope that next time I have to stay on a Holiday Inn it will be as enjoyable as it was at this one."

"Absolutely horrible experience. The room was filthy, the shower looked like a blind person had cleaned it, with hairs everywhere. The pull out had no sheets or blankets and when we went down stairs to ask for some, we were given 1 sheet. Light bulbs didnt work. The shower somehow became clogged and we couldn't use it the last day. I told management and the gentleman did nothing to offer a resolution. Just said thank for the information. For the price per night of the hotel, this is shameful. I will never use this hotel again."

"Was pretty bad, they had rude staff and they didn’t say that they have problems, they have not working keys so every time you have to get to your room you need to ask the staff for help, they also didn’t have working wifi I ask for the manager and they just said that tomorrow when he gets there, he never did, one time that I ask for, when is the key and wifi going to work? The front desk guy said to me that I just paid for the room not the amenities, he was pretty rude"

"The shampoo and body wash bottle were empty so I had to go down stairs to get soap and shampoo, which they didn't have. There were no sheets for the sofa bed. So, I had to go back down stairs to get a set. Coffee in the lobby was cold when I got some around 5 pm. The hotel was clean. Easy check in. Fast, I did check in online too. Good location. Comfortable beds. Clean room. Clean shower. The water pressure in thw shower is great. Spacious room. Good hot breaksfast. Nice pool."

"As someone who’s stayed 90+ days in IHG hotels this year alone, I have never had as much trouble as I did with this hotel. Within a few hours of checking into my room, I found a cockroach crawling across the floor. The front desk claimed they were unable to switch my room because there weren’t any other of the same kind of room available and that I would have to stay in the room with the cockroach. After attempting to contact a manager, the only thing they could offer was having the front desk look at the room for themselves, and they belittled me when they couldn’t find the cockroach. I had to book an entirely new reservation just to move rooms, but I was still charged for the first night in the original room, despite not actually staying there. I should not have been charged for an issue on behalf of the hotel, so I asked management to follow up with me twice, and both times I was ignored. The management and customer service of this hotel is not on par with the IHG brand and needs some serious work."
