"Overall a good experience and the staff did their best to get me out the door as promptly as possible. They were also well humored. Still, the whole process was much slower than I would have liked (my 20-30 min wait turned into a 3.5 hour wait, this is NOT an exaggeration - maybe it was the day or time I visited). This is in addition of the 20 minutes I waited to get helped in the first place (before being asked to wait). Few things to keep in mind: • New location is about a 30 minute drive from old address, and further west, so plan accordingly. • There is limited parking spots for visitors so avoid peak times. • They still rely on some sort of system and sometimes it goes out so there’ll be even more delays when/if that happens. • The staff expects you to have printed physical copies of a series of documents or paperwork, including proof of payment. • Payments are made ahead of time using their Bank of America information (available from website). • Although they open at 9:30, it’s not uncommon for employees to arrive 10-20-30 mins after that or even later. Also, certain processes are only worked on during certain days. Be sure to inform yourself ahead of time. I hope this lengthy review helps, and these are the facts as of the date of this writing."

"I had a great, personal experience with this Consulate. Nuno Rosa went over and beyond to help my family with our needs in a desperate situation. He's about as genuine, compassionate, and diligent as a person can be. In a world full of "it's not my job", "it's not my responsibility, "it's not my problem", deceit, etc. there's becoming fewer and fewer people like Nuno. I'm truly grateful he stepped out of his responsibilities to help navigate me through a difficult path. I hate I didn't get a picture with him and my family, but look forward to when we can. The world needs more folks like Nuno."
