"It's great if you're looking for lip service"
"VA CBOC in Mayfield is wonderful. The staff is extremely attentive and helpful. They always go over and above to make sure I am taken care of. They will not let you down. It is the closest CBOC to me and half way between home and Marion, IL VA Hospital. There are a couple of other CBOCs slightly farther away that I could go to but I wouldn’t dream of it. If it’s your first time and you don’t live in Mayfield it can be a little hard to find. Siri got me close but let me down. If you’re in the Burke’s Outlet parking lot and facing the entrance, turn around and you’ll be facing the clinic. No complaints about staff or services. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Tons of food and shopping nearby. Very easy access to several major highways. If you live near western Kentucky, choose the Mayfield CBOC. P.S. for anyone who complains that we retirees have it so much easier...try making it to appointments with missing limbs. NEWS FLASH. Doctors don’t work on weekends ANYWHERE; at least not anywhere we can afford."
"I was still in the building when the community care doctors office reached out to me. They are great. The VSO in the front office is amazing, she really knows her stuff. I am very pleased with my service."
"I switched my care from a private care clinic in Murray because they were taken over by a conglomerate corporation. They were no longer the small town one-call gets it done clinic that I loved. In most cases the Mayfield VA Clinic usually resolved any medical problem/treatment care in one day. Referrals to a specialist takes about a week to get approval. They just got a Dr. replacing the APRN which I haven't utilized yet."
"After waiting 3 months for an appointment, and missing half a day of work to make the appointment, was informed that the doctor is not in today, and you'll have to reschedule. Can't get much more inadequate than that. Might be fine if you're retired and don't have to still work for a living. If you're not retired, go to Marion...they keep their appointments."
