"My niece was bitten in the arm by a little boy. Accidents happen, especially at a daycare with children who react differently to situations. That’s understandable. What’s unacceptable is the way it was communicated to my sister. She was told that my niece got bit because she kept elbowing this little boy and he got tired of it and bit her. BUT when my sister received the video of what happened, you can CLEARLY see that the boy was placed right behind her when she was sitting down, and he immediately looked over her shoulder. She’s 3 so she cannot convey to the little boy “i need my personal space” so she picks up her elbow to move him away and he automatically bites her. So my sister was upset that they made it seem like it was my nieces fault. When my sister tried to explain that my niece just likes her personal space and wanted him to get away, she’s then threatened with “we can have her in a chair by herself in the corner of the room” and that “she needs to learn the consequences of her elbowing” she was being blamed for being bitten! How does that make any sense!? My sister is taking my niece out of this daycare, rightfully so but my niece deserve an apology for getting blamed and threatened! I can’t believe stuff like this happens and places that are supposed to be looking out for children!"
