"Mrs. O’s now owns and operates what was formerly discovery depot. I did not have my kids enrolled while under the former owners and staff so I can not specifically speak to the difference between the 2 but my kiddos have been here for about 8 months now and this place has been an absolute blessing. My kids are 1 and 2 years old and I have never seen them unhappy at this facility. The staff have all been great and extremely understanding with absolutely anything and everything. They are all great with the kids (who both have some learning and health issues) they are patient and allow the kids to learn and play at their own pace while pushing them to do their best. They are loving, kind, always happy and smiling and know every kid by name and parent by face. The owner has been in contact with me personally while I had some personal issues going on. He worked with me and was also extremely understanding. They contact me immediately if kids are sick, let me know ahead of time if items are needed, they keep us updated on learning plans and always have fun activities and parties planned for the kids. I have no regrets putting my kids in here as they have done nothing but blossomed and grown in this environment."
"My child has been going to after-school Discovery Depot for about 8 weeks now. Overall there hasn't been too many issues. However, there were some billing issues in the beginning. Somehow my account was mixed up with another. Which causes me to have distrust in the company's billing. There were some issues with the application and my child was without care the first week. Also, my child has had a couple of incidences of being written up for "throwing a fit". I was told that upon a third write up my child would be suspended for 3 days. When I asked more about the circumstances involving the event I was told how the incident was handled I asked if the other child had gotten written up for the physical contac, i was told that no, and that his bishavior caused more of the issue. I explained that I found this inappropriate. Young children do throw fits yet if a child pushes another child and isn't punished for this behavior what message is this sending to children? Was this the cause of the fit? Also, I felt that the response i received was VERY unprofessional and that correct discipline should be administered to ensure the safety and well-being. There should be more professionalism as problems are discussed and the billing system could use some attention to detail. We'll see what the year brings if we choose to keep this service."
"Bro if i could give 0 stars i would this daycare is TRASH including the after school care. if your child has ANY kind of issue with social anxiety DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE. in my case, my son has autism and was PUNISHED for it. the staff are rude and judgemental, the owner obviously does not care about the attitudes of the people she employs most likely because her attitude is TRASH as well. if you’re not a perfect cookie cutter suburban white rich mom, DONT do it. 0/10. HORRIBLE people."
"My daughter was in the afterschool program. I was one day late for payment and they abanded my daughter at the school and told her she could not come in. I never received a call from them. When I called the owner she told me "well.... you should have paid on time!" No explanation no apologies. The principal was nice enough to wait with my daughter. BEWARE!!! This place is HORRIBLE I AM SURPRISED THEY ARNT SHUT DOWN ALREADY. I have walked in and seen one worker with over 20 kids! If your looking for a daycare that treats parents with respect and children with LOVE don't come here. Very disappointed."
"One of my fellow employees had both of her children at this daycare and had a very poor and discouraging experience. Multiple times they had issues including once one of the teachers ATE her child's lunch and then her brilliant excuse was that the food "wasn't claimed...". On top of that the owner took the teachers side in the entire issue. I don't think more needs to be said about that situation. After this mother was continuously tolerant and forgiving of the staff at Discovery Depot she finally withdrew her children when her oldest ( 6 years old) came home crying and explained that the owner had pulled him out of lunch, got in his face, grabbed his arm, put her finger in his face, and yelled at him repeatedly saying that she "doesn't need him" and interrogating him as of why he had went and told on her to his mother and how she got in trouble. Needless to say these issues are now being further investigated, but I would recommend that you look elsewhere before even considering sending your child here because if the owner of the establishment has the nerve and ignorance to touch a child and yell at him, as if she was a child herself, then this is not an environment that any young developing child should be a part of. If you do decide to send your child here make sure you label their lunch box."
