"I went to the first annual Viking Festival. It was amazing. There were so many different costumes and booths. Even though it was viking related, there was all kind if different people dressed up. I've never been to one of these festivals but it is very much worth it."

"Had a great day at the Highlands festival, amazed at the skills of the athletes when competing. Archery and steel fighting competition, live music. A lot of vendors including weapons, clothing, Tarot reading, beard balms/oils, toys and crafts, face painting in Fae village. Washer wench stage show. Already awaiting dates for next year, definitely going back."

"We had a blast. Lots of vendors. Awesome crafts. beautiful costumes. They need more drink stations. ( Plain water drink stations) Those lines were very long. By the time my husband got to the front, they had run out of ice cold water and could only give him a slightly cool water they had just restocked in the ice. I understand the need to restrict food and drink to be brought in, but they should make an exception for waters. All on all it was a great fun day."

"If you want a Medival Experience, this is the place to come! Henry County has one of the largest Renaissance Festivals in the area. Lots of visitors come in costume (but street clothes are great too) with plenty of entertainment, food, drink & treats. Turkey Legs, Steak-on-a-Stake, a the specialty green "potion" drink (with glass bottle & cork) were the kiddos favorites. I liked the Scottish Ice Cream served in a wooden bowl. The escape artist & his wife were both hilarious & extremely entertaining. The jousting was quite a show as well. For some hands on experiences, try the ax throwing, knife throwing, throwing stars or archery. All between $2-$5. Most every merchant takes cards but there is an ATM in the Kingdom as well. The weekend or season pass can be good if you truly want to see it all. There's no way to do it all in a day but you'll have a great time trying!"

"Loved the food, vendors there were a lot more, more structures, more entertaining singing groups and acting. Lots of nice shade or cloths to help make shade. It was easy to find places to buy water. Love the misting bridge cause it was hot. It made it faster to pre buy and print out our tickets. They just scan at the gate and you skip the lines. Now for what I think need needs change: there was lots of visible poison ivy including under the bench near the huge cross. The mermaids tank was broken. I wanted to see them very bad since I missed it last 2 years"
