"This review has been deserved for about four years. When I started my machine shop, I had no need, nor the space to order full sticks. Thus, Metals Supermarkets of Louisville became my sole material provider almost immediately. The reason they became my sole provider isn't because they are the only game in town. The service I have received from everyone and every order has been fantastic. When it comes to pricing, it's important to understand how a commodity is bought and sold. My opinion is that metal pricing is pretty much close to the same, so I don't waste time with pricing and choose to conduct commerce with good people who do a good job and do so in a friendly manner. The few low rated reviews I've read lead me to believe that the reviewers made incorrect measurements and thus resulted in them ordering the incorrect material. That is unfortunate because of the past four years of buying metal from them, I am very confident telling a person to buy from them, and I do refer people regularly. I've had a few instances in which the wrong material was cut, and they took care to immediately correct the problem. Long story short, it is absolutely amazing to have them in town and to run my business without them, I'd hate to know how much more work it would be. Knowing they are going to get me what I need is one less thing I need to concern myself with. They are what large corporations refer to as a Trusted Partner--I call them friends! "Good place in Louisville to get metal. Much more approachable than some other places, since they don’t have a minimum order. Homegamers allowed! The guys are always super chill and helpful. Also it’s really nice to be able to grab odds and ends off of the drop rack. I bought a full sheet of steel for the body of my smoker, and then was able to get all the other pieces I needed from the drop rack."
"Great place for almost any metal you need. Staff is fantastic and helpful. Really like going back to the "off cut" area for small pieces to fabricate with. Prices are great since you don't have to buy full sticks or sheets of product! Go check them out"
