"For a convenience store to be in East Austin for over 25 years right in front of Public housing projects right on the side of ACC Community college and a new high school right across the street . There prices have gone up real high in the store and they don't accept Snap any more and the peoples who live in the community mostly receive Food stamps only. For them to be jacking the prices up so high."
"I guess the person who 1-Starred this place had a bad experience. I mean what do you expect out of a place like this? It’s a little grocery mart on the east side of town. This building is old and it’s not easy to make a place like that look amazing. Yes it’s small and a little dirty on the inside but like I said... what do you expect? Lots of food options and they’re great. The guy making the food was super nice and cooked me fresh gizzards. The guy at the counter didn’t say much but who cares. The only thing that would make this place into what some people want is for a big chain like 7/11 to take it over. I would rather have Al’s Food Mart. When they have to tape the box shut because they give you so much food, I’m happy."
"Haven't been here in years and when I went inside, it hasn't changed a bit. Still nice customer service and still great gizzards. Kids have always loved the pizza and it's all so affordable. Have to make more frequent visits from now on..."
