"I've read lots of negative reviews about this place from cleanliness, to noise, and bad location. The only negative I've experienced was noise from other guest closing their doors or walking (we were on the 1st floor and could hear upstairs walking). We brought a small fan with us, so the noise didn't disturb our sleep. Some of the pictures on Google need to be removed. They are from before the hotel was remodeled. It looks up to date (not old or run down). Breakfast was good and the breakfast staff are nice. Our room was clean. Location is in the west part of Amarillo located amongst several other hotels with lots of other businesses and restaurants near by. Not a sketchy area at all."
"Nice hotel, decent sleep. The best part is the staff at breakfast! He is amazing at being attentive to all guests and stands out as a great gentleman and host, which is odd for a hotel!"
"Stayed a few weeks ago with my puppy dog and while the hotel was immaculate, the star of the show was Patricia, the agent at check-in. This is the experience you want after driving all day and seeking a flawless stay. I the property feels very safe, ample parking, and has everything necessary from start to finish. Thank you Patricia and thank you Hilton Homewood for a comfortable and awesome experience."
"Planned a trip to this hotel, and had to cancel due to icy weather in Dallas Fort Worth. I’m a lifetime diamond member, but still got charged for canceling a day early. Apparently the rate booked had a five day cancellation which normally is fine unless there is an ice storm the weekend before your trip. I called the manager and she was absolutely zero help in resolving this, I would recommend staying at another hotel in Amarillo."
"I just had the best hospitality experience! The woman at the front desk at checkout was incredible. I thanked her for her service and she came around from the desk to shake my hand. Her warm smile was so comforting. She held my hand and wished me safe travels. She really connected with me. What an amazing way to start my day! There was a hot breakfast in the morning which included biscuits and gravy. The attendant there was bright and kind. The room had a full kitchen including cookware and dishes. I was just there for the night, but would have used it on a longer stay. The room was ok, not great. I felt safe there. The hotel is right on the freeway and the road leads directly onto the freeway. It's very convenient. I'll never forget the service there."
