"This is a cute seafood place. The staff knew the locals and made it more cozy. We rented a beach house and found this gem nearby. I really liked the stuffed shrimp, and the cocktails were tasty. His place was very enjoyable for Valentines Day. It's not fancy, but it is a great place for two."

"Our waiter explained to us that they were short on staff to explain the almost 30 minutes before we were asked for our drink preferences. However, once he took our order, the food came in very reasonable time. The plates were huge and practically overflowing. I had the Seafood Platter and my wife had the Soft-shell Crab Dinner. Both were absolutely excellent with a very good tartar sauce mix, and a cocktail sauce that had an excellent portion of horseradish mixed in. The younger male waiter was very attentive and polite - a real treasure for the restaurant. The men’s bathroom however definitely needed to be gutted and rebuilt. It had a strong stench of mold that would not be able to be disguised nor removed. The bill had some strange extra tax charges added such as non-cash pay, and a few others I’ve not heard of. It made it feel like you were at a cheap mechanic shop that would nickel and dime you to death by charging you for every shop towel claimed to be used, and even the hand soap used."

"Stopped here for lunch on our way back to Houston. The only reason for the 4 stars on the atmosphere is because we sat outside and the road is right there so it was a little noisy. They let our dogs sit with us so that was a plus. Friendly staff and the food was good. Clean and well kept facilities. I had a BLT and it was good. It’s a good stop to have on your itinerary because after Nate’s you’re heading into Galveston and the crowds. If you enjoy a quiet lunch, this is the place."

"Great service, but either overly seasoned or overly bland food. I ordered a fettuccine Alfredo (for 24 dollars...) and the sauce was bland, floury, and the cheese was all stuck to the bottom of the bowl. Hush puppies were good, just I think it's a bit too much seasoning on those considering they are so small. Garlic bread was delicious. I tried some rosemary potatoes and half of them were not fully cooked. Server was really nice, very attentive. I just wish it was cheaper and better. It shouldn't be 32 dollars for an 8 ounce steak. Or 24 dollars for a chicken fettuccine Alfredo with no sides."
