"The cakes here are delicious and beautiful!! D’Event made my wedding cake and I loved it so much I hired them to custom make my baby shower cake, which came out just as amazing! They delivered it early the day of the baby shower, which I really appreciated a lot. My only complaint is that an employee named Danielle is extremely rude. During the course of ordering my custom cake, I was given her number to communicate and coordinate everything. She ignored me, lied about trying to call me, and had a horrible attitude. But honestly, I was so happy with the cake and delivery that dealing with Danielle was worth it. I will order from D’Event for any future events!! Update: taking off one more star for the staff and owner being super difficult ONCE AGAIN when my husband was trying to order me a cake for my birthday. And this time, the cake wasn’t that good. Honestly, I’m rethinking my decision that dealing with the people who work here is worth it for the cake."

"I was in a journey and in a hurry to find a cake specialty bakery shop. Went to Gloria's cakes in Harlingen and my daughter birthday was 2 weeks away and they told me they weren't taking any more cake orders. Will my business is not wanted there and won't go there anymore. So I surely made the right decision by going to D'event Cake Shop. They told me right away yes and made a beautiful and great tasting cake for my 24 year old daughter day. My family asked who made it and I mentioned D'event and were amaze of how beautiful and great tasting cake it was. I will be going again for other special events that will be coming up for their beautiful cakes. The Satisfaction and how by the photo I wanted the cake to look and the flavors were to perfection. I will definitely recommend D'event for cake ordering for anyone including family and friends."
