Gold's Gym Cypress Creek

"Gold's Gym Cedar Park is closing at the end of the this month and I'm guessing they have automatically transferred their members to this location without any notification since an account that I have been attempting to close for almost 6 months now at Cedar Park location is somehow being charged, or attempting to charge it anyway, I had to lock my card which is my only solution at this point since they won't stop trying to charge me over and over again for a membership that I have submitted paperwork and spoken with managers to cancel it for several months. Gold's Gym corporate harassers me on a daily basis to pay my fees even though I have gotten my credit card company involved and I won the dispute, they are still trying. I have been a fan of Gold's Gym for over 20 years, however I can honestly say I will never step my foot inside of one again and I will always make sure to advise my friends to never do so as well. Their shady membership tactics has left a sour taste in my mouth. Update 1/5/24: After several days of trying I was able to speak to someone at Gold's Gym Cypress Creek. They wrongly informed me that I signed up for a 1 year membership even though that was not the case, and I have no choice but to pay for a membership that I am not using and will not use at their location until the entire 1 year fulfillment. This is absurd. I guess I'll be canceling my credit card. Update 1/16/24: In contrary to the message that was posted by someone at the location, they have not made any attempts to contact me for any resolution, however, they continue to attempt to charge my credit card every day even though I have requested multiple times for it to stop. Update 1/23/24: Still no contact from the manager or anyone from this facility however, they have attempted to charge my card 12 times over the last 10 days. Last Sunday, they attempted 5 times in a row. Update 1/19/24: No contact from anyone from Gold's Gym as they mentioned they would, I still get notifications that they are trying to charge my credit card every other day. They are certainly a persistent bunch. I've contacted my credit card company again and they have told me to simply lock my card because they can't get Gold's to stop. Gold's gym have however informed me that they won't stop and will continue regularly. Seems like bullying at this point. Update 2/4/24: Another 8 attempts this week along, 3 of them within a few minutes. Reminder that I have NEVER been to this location, this is a consequence of being a member of Gold’s Gym Cedar Park and bad Management with poor communication and shady business practice. Update 2/16/24: Several more attempts have been made over the last 2 weeks, and the amount has now doubled. How long will this continue? My card will have to remain locked as I'm afraid to unlock it and Gold's Gym will run up the tab with multiple charges. Update 2/24/24: It has been a month and no one has contacted me even though they mentioned that they would to try to resolve the issue. The chargers are still being attempted and they have doubled the amount. No resolution in sight."

"I’ve been at this location going on about a year now. Pros: Most of the staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They’ve recently added a ton of equipment and free weights so everything you need for a workout is there. Numerous cleaning stations available with spray bottles or wipes depending on preference. Women’s sauna is pretty much always working and extremely clean (same for the locker room & bathrooms). Every class you can think of under the sun; from cycling, Zumba, Combat, yoga… you name it. They have a kids club that’s insane (amazed it’s not utilized more). Gym is extremely clean and they have info posted to show how the gym will be growing and progression. HONEST CONS: Some staff are clearly there for a paycheck and it shows (not many but enough that it’s obvious). Some of the more popular cardio and circuit machines are down and need to be serviced (mainly they have to wait for parts to come in so they can’t expedite that but it is what it is). Free weight area can get a little dicey and weights aren’t often returned by inconsiderate members (not the gyms fault but be aware). The adding of classes has put some too close together so it causes friction between members when starting classes late or not picking up for the next class (some instructors are not considerate of others). I’ve been in 3 states in the past 10 years and this is probably the nicest gym I’ve ever been to. Most bad reviews are over billing and those that didn’t like having to merge when their gym closed or the regulars that weren’t jazzed when new members came over. The manager, Augustine, is phenomenal though and he has a good team."

"BEST GYM I have ever belonged to hands down. It is clean, great machines and equipment, wonderful classes and trainers, friendly staff and a remarkable general manager who truly cares about the members. They are appreciative of your business and are always there to help in any way that they can. The members are respectful, kind and happy to be there. Give them a try you'll be glad you did!"

"I have called in to cancel my membership last summer 2023 July and the worker said he would do it for me because I was out of town, I then went in to work out the remaining month and double checked to see if it was canceled and they said yes. They are still charging my bank to this day 6 months later and are forcing me to pay when I canceled it. I am in college in North Carolina, so I’m not anywhere close to Texas, I feel like they are taking advantage of me and my money due to me being young and a college student."

"Big size gym, with Golds cycle and fitness classes, and allot of exercise gear. It is clean but sometimes crowded, like other golds gyms needs bath room refresh and remodel. I do like this one cause it is newer and bigger than other ones around me"
