"Lots of interesting things for sale here and the person behind the counter was super friendly. I was hoping for more fresh produce items, but if you're looking for different types of flavors for your cooking, check them out."

"This seems to be a Chin/Burmese grocer. I'm guessing Chin since much of the food items are from Myanmar, but they have Christian signs in the store instead of Buddhist, and Lewisville has one of the larger Chin populations in the US. I like this little place. They don't have much produce, but they do have some things like garlic, French shallots. The frozen red chilis are great (with a lot of heat) – perfect for Chinese, Thai, and (obviously) Myanmar cuisines. They also have lots of dry goods, such as rice, noodles, canned fish, sweets. There are a lot of things that I don't know how to use in cooking (I would need someone to teach me). The main reason I go here is this is the closest place for getting tamarind paste and palm sugar, which one needs to make the sauce for pad thai. If you shop here, you are definitely helping a local business."
