"I had a great experience with Lakeway flooring! I enjoyed working with a local company. Eric and Heidi were so helpful and patient. Eric also came out to my house to help me make a final decision on my Luxury Vinyl flooring(I really needed his expert opinion)! I can't be more pleased! I also had my shower completely redone with tile picked out from Lakeway flooring(and it looks awesome).The recommendations from Eric for plumbing and glass for the shower were great. "We worked with Lakeway Floors to replace all our carpeted rooms (4) with hardwood flooring. The staff was friendly and they had a wide selection of pieces to choose from. They were flexible enough to give us samples to bring home and test. The installation was simple and their team was fast and efficient in installing the flooring. Just remind them to check for transition pieces as they were frequently left off the truck and required follow up visits to install. That said, our experience post installation has not been as great as the sale and install. After approximately 3 years, our floors started showing unusual wear and chipping in the finish. After multiple calls to Lakeway Floors, we finally had a team member come to assess the floors. After a brief walkthrough, it was decided they would file with the manufacturer warranty. Insert multiple weeks, emails, and phone calls chasing Lakeway Floors and their manufacturer for next steps. An in-home review was completed by a "third party" selected by the flooring manufacturer who determined the damage caused by "not covering the floors with rugs, a visiting dog, and high moisture content in the slab". (I did not realize when you get wood floors you have to cover them completely with rugs to hide and protect their finish.) In the end, Lakeway Floors says they performed a moisture test on our slab and at the time it was "fine" - hence why they did not keep the moisture test results in our file nor use a moisture barrier during installation. If you're going to give them a try, make sure to get a copy of your moisture test and seek to have a moisture barrier installed whether they think you need it or not."
