"Relatively small, but nice park. The playa and surrounding marshy vegetation can be a good place to bird, especially during spring and fall migration. One of the better places in Amarillo to find migrating shorebirds like avocets, stilts, dowitchers, phalaropes, and peeps. Also good for a wide variety of waterfowl. Only problem is that people frequently will let their dogs off leash here, which tends to scare stuff away."
