"I am a coach for our high school’s academic team. The last three years, we have used Hey Elmer to design and print our team shirts. Each year, the competition focuses on a new topic. Our topics in the past have been World War I, The Fertile Crescent, and The Roaring Twenties. Typically, area teams design their own shirts. These are often very generic and the same graphic can be seen on numerous participating teams' shirts. Not ours! We give Elmer the topic of the year and he takes it from there. The kids love the surprise of the shirts each year and we get numerous compliments at the competitions. His work is phenomenal! Elmer researches the topic and then combines the theme and academic disciplines in a very creative manner. An interesting note - our team qualified for the state competition and our team shirts were featured in the program of events. When we checked in at the registration table and shared our school name with the staff, the lady at the desk declared “Oh! You are the team with the cool shirts!”"
