Dollar General

"I shop at the store located at 125 Carney Ln Wimberley Tx 3-5 days a week. When I first came to Wimberley and started working for WISD in 2021 I had never shopped at a Dollar General before. I quickly became a "Regular" and usually spent my lunch period grabbing a quick snack and checking out the Holiday aisles and Home Decor. Fast forward to 2023 and now into 2024...It is no longer an appealing store to shop in. The aisles are frequently blocked, the shelves are poorly stocked and almost never faced. The store is dirty and the customer service is extremely poor. The only reason I continue to shop there is to grab a soft drink and some junk food to get me through the afternoon."

"I had the occasion to stop in Dollar General with a friend of mine. After picking up a few needed items, we were browsing the isles. An employee, Jayla, asked us if she could be of assistance in finding an item, and then went so far as to assist with recommendations in the make-up isle since we were not familiar with the brands. We were both impressed with Jayla's interaction with not only us, but with other customers during our visit to Dollar General. Kudos to this employee and her professionalism!"

"I don’t go to it that much but, if I were in a pinch for food it’s a very convenient spot for snacks. I’ve been inside of it multiple times when I was younger and older and it has better stock now than it used to. They also changed the layout which I like."

"This store is always a mess and in a bad state of disrepair. The employee turn over here has always been extraordinarily high. I have been going there since they opened many years ago watching the deterioration. Today I went there for some washer fluid air fresheners and snacks. I went to throw away a few pieces of paper and two empty drink containers. The trash can that was usually in front of the store is missing so I took it to the dumpster. An employee saw me and accosted me in the store about using the dumpster. I explained that there trash receptacle out front was missing and it was only a very small amount of refuse from the passenger floorboard of my truck. The rudeness and anger of her response that that was only for her use was so unacceptable to me that I set my items on the counter and vowed to never return. I am a man of my word, they have lost my business for life."

"I really like this Dollar General it's close to my home, so convenient to get to. This particular store is a lot more organized since the new manager took over, also a lot cleaner. Your able to push your cart down the isles, before you couldn't due to boxes of inventory on the floor of the isles. It's an enjoyable shopping experience."
