"I had a Valentino crossbody bag that I took the Valentino store as the leather was coming apart on the strap, they told me that the bag was too old to replace and recommended me take the bag for a new strap to this specific Houston Shoe Hospital. I did on December 7, 2023 and was told that it would take about 4 weeks to remake the strap due to the holidays. I had no problem with that so I left the bag. I never heard anything so I called to check status at the end of January...they didn't have an update. I was told they would check on it and call me back. Never heard anything so I called again the following week...same thing. It took until February 15th to finally get the bag finished, with multiple follow-ups. The strap does look nice, but super frustrated that I had to chase it down...and have to wonder when it would have been finished if I didn't check in. The staff was friendly so that's a plus. Just not sure I'll ever go back."

"This was an awful experience. My shoes are a completely different color now. I brought three pairs of shoes in and when I originally picked up the three, one pair was "okay-ish" (though I would only have given it 1 1/2 stars), the other two were unacceptable (one pair was two different colors from each other). So they kept the two unacceptable pairs to hopefully get them correct. They failed. Both pairs were light tan with brownish tips when I brought them in and now they are both dark brown. When I complained, they replied, "they look beautiful." They are shiny, but they are not even close to the same color when I brought them in. They would only offer a "repair credit' as if I would ever try them again after such awful work. Lesson learned---it would have been better to purchase brand new shoes than to trust them to take Johnson & Murphy shoes and turn them into something so drastically different."

"The worst experience. They ruined my alligator belt. I brought it in to have dyed which he said was no problem. After several attempts trying to get the color and finish right (even texting him photos) I go to pick it up for the last time and it was the worst job I’ve ever seen. I think even they were embarrassed. And as another customer said, the manager turned it around and said that’s what I asked for! The dye job was so bad I left my 400.- belt there on the counter. I would advise to not take anything of any value here. Not only are they incompetent of even the simplest of jobs, hands down the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. I might go pick it up just to post the photos on here, although the experience with this guy was so infuriating I don’t think I will."

"The worse job ever on my louis Vuitton purse. I hate these people do not take your hand bags here. They convinced me to replace my strap after I just wanted a cleaning. They don't know what they are doing. They used poor leather . They redid the stitching so u can see tracks and lines running down the leather they ruined my $3000 Louis Vuitton bag. I am at a loss for words."
