"I recently bought a pair of Ecco shoes online. While the shoes are comfortable and have great support, the soles were defective. Some kind of coating was peeling off like dead skin. Because I need these shoes for work, I took them to the Ecco store in the Galleria for an exchange/refund. Much to my surprise that don't except returns for defective shoes at the store. You have to submit a for online, print out a shipping label, find a box, drive to the post office and wait up to six weeks for a then to determine if you can get a refund. In the meantime, I don't have the shoes that you need for work. The manager at the store was happy to have me buy another pair of shoes. Most stores offer a refund or exchange at the store when you buy online. This is especially frustrating when the store manager agrees that the shoes are clearly defective."

"Googled best shoes for service industry and Ecco popped up.. all the reviews were great and found a pair I really liked online. Headed to the galleria to purchase but the store had moved locations. I made a quick call to see where they moved to and found out they didn’t open til the following day. Super bummed bc I needed the shoes for the following day for my new job. I get a call back saying if I didn’t mind a little mess I could stop by and get the shoes. Found the perfect pair and was so pleased with the customer service I received! Got the women’s soft 60 in black. After a 40 hour week on my feet I couldn’t be happier with my purchase! These are seriously the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever purchased for work! My feet couldn’t be happier and I’m a sneaker head:) Got many compliments on the shoes!! Thank you Melissa and Marybeth for helping me out!!!"
