"La Plancha Austin- you need to add this to your list right now! The food is delicious and Chef Hinojosa and her team make some excellent dishes. I ordered La Tejana Torta with fries and it all was so good! Although it is a lot of food, you need to get the fries too. And you must save room for Churritos. Always make room for dessert, that’s my motto. Thanks La Plancha for an excellent meal!"

"So far I have had two items and they were fantastic. The brisket torta and the chicken quesadilla fajita. The bread they use was a hit. Loved the sauce and the quality of the ingredients. Nice staff."

"Go eat here. It’s out of the way, tucked into the corner of an apartment complex, has limited seating and parking. Go anyway. We had the Hawaiana torta, street corn and the cantaloupe aqua fresca. So delicious! They rotate drinks and dishes based on fresh availability, and everything is made right in front of you. Great spot worthy of all the press."

"La Plancha has some of the best Mexican food in Austin! The tortas are fantastic, and the fries are a must. The papa asada is a huge value for the price, and with so many protein options you’ll never get tired of it. The torta of the month is always amazing, and always leaves me wanting it on the permanent menu. The horchata is velvety smooth and perfectly balanced, and the limeade tastes like a paleta de limón from my hometown in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas. Their michelada mix is tried and true; Mariah - the owner - uses her grandfather’s recipe which he sold in Monterrey, Nuevo León. Their extensive beer selection means you’ll have something to pair with every menu item. If you’re looking for high quality, authentic Mexican food, La Plancha is the place to go."

"The food was very different and refreshing. I am happy that there is a new street food Mexican place in Austin. The fries were my favorite, they were so crispy and delicious. The portions are also big so make sure to account for that before ordering. The staff is super friendly and courteous. They have limited seating but it wasn’t too crowded when we went. I would go back again to explore other items on the menu."
