"The folks are really nice at the shop, but the quality of the work is very disappointing. I was excited to find a local shoe repair in my neighborhood. And in fact the owner seems genuinely focused on his service. I had a simple shoe resole job on a pair of dress shoes I’ve had for about 10 yrs. I’ve had Jem resolved 4 times before in my old city and always pleased. This time, it took several trips to get it comfortable to wear. And after I picked them up, they didn’t even shine the shoe. And I noticed so many loose threads on the sole that I had to pull them out myself. I paid $75 for this which is competitive but the work is poor. I had hoped to bring more business here with my other shoes, but I’m going to look elsewhere."
