Reviews
"Let me start by saying I do not normally leave reviews (maybe 2-4x in the past I have) but this place was SO AMAZING I had to!! We are from VA and currently live in Shreveport and I have had Mediterranean food in many states (it is my favorite food!). This was the BEST I have had! Everything was perfect. Let me start at the top- you walk in and the atmosphere is so clean, romantic, and beautiful set up/design! Then you get greeted immediately by 1-2 people with smiles. The server, Armando, was superior at his knowledge of the food offered, timely and efficient, and overall a pleasure to have as a server!! Now onto the food and wine- we had a bottle of the house wine, which was amazing! We both ordered the goat cheese cigar, which was incredible!! So flavorful and delicious. Then we both got the chicken kebabs and wow were they the best I’ve ever had. They were flavored AMAZINGLY and cooked so perfectly the chicken was easy to cut with a fork. The garlic, pepper(red), and harissa (spellcheck) sauces were all amazing. Lastly, the veggies that were sautéed were PERFECT. They had good flavor/seasoning, good sear to them, and amazing crunch (not mushy). Oh yes… the fries were also amazing! Overall, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!"
"Food is amazing and so flavorful! Came in on a busy saturday without a reservation and the manager kindly made accommodations to get us in! (HIGHLY recommend making reservations) Mo was our server and was GREAT! Overall ambience was so nice with live musician and great atmosphere! Loved it!"
"Great food (especially the freshly made Chicken Shawarma Plate) but the portions can be a bit bigger for the pricing. Might be understandable since it’s located right in the middle of uptown. The server was also really kind and friendly. Will definitely come back here again when we make a visit to Dallas."
"Went there with some coworkers earlier this week. The staff/owner were very friendly and welcoming. The food was good, but the portions were really small for the price. I ordered the lamb rack expecting a huge plate but it was underwhelming. Nice experience overall"
"My son & I love to try new restaurants, so we decided to give Baboush a try. Even though we had to drive from BlueMound to Dallas, it was 100% worth it. The atmosphere is great, I love the vibe of the place. At our request, our server gave us with several suggestions. Everything we tried was delicious! We ordered the Mezza appetizer and it was large enough to be a meal. My son ordered Chicken Kebab and I tried the Kofta. Wow! Absolutely phenomenal! We followed the server’s advice and ordered a dessert; the Baklava Bowl. It was enormous and I’m glad we had decided to share our dessert. Fun place for a special treat. By the time we finished, (huge appetizer, 1 glass wine, 1 lemonade, 2 entrees, and dessert, the bill was almost $125 (without the tip). Definitely not in my budget to go often, but perfect for a special dinner."
